Tom Knight is a writer and producer based in London. Currently a columnist for Gay Times Magazine and a number of other news/entertainment outlets. He is also a political and social commentator specialising in human rights and LGBTQ+ issues.
Shortlisted for Journalist of the Year at the European Diversity Awards in 2016, and nominated for Positive Role Model of the Year at the National Diversity Awards in 2017 and 2018. Tom was part of the OutNewsGlobal and Guardian's #PridePowerList in 2017 as the 87th most influential LGBTQ+ person in the UK.
Currently producing the stages for Pride in London, Tom is also the Creative Producer of Events, as well as being head judge of their talent competition #PridesGotTalent.
Tom also has a very active role in the LGBTQ+ community as an advocate, speaker and campaigner. Being featured in the world press for his HIV campaigning, working with BBC Three, Buzzfeed, Gay Times to name a few, tackling stigma, LGNTQ issues and recently joining the Terrence Higgin's Trust as part of their It Starts With Me campaign.
His work in the LGBT+ community has taken him to Downing Street, the House of Parliament, House of Lords, on TV, radio and beyond.
Tom was one of the organisers of the Orlando Vigil in Soho after the horrific shooting, as well as heavily campaigning about the treatment of the LGBTQ+ community in Russia, Chechnya, Azerbaijan and more.
In 2017 Tom was Vice President and one of the founding members of Impulse London, a gay mens sexual and mental health group.
As well as organising charity events such as his annual World AIDS Day fundraiser, Tom fundraises for numerous charities such as GMFA, THT, AKT and many more.
He has worked on the LGBTQ+ scene all over the UK including London club nights and events such as Onyx, A:M, Orange, As One in the Park, WE Party, Brighton Pride and some of London's biggest after hours parties.
